The Description:

Ramming material refers to an amorphous refractory that is constructed by ramming (manual or mechanical) methods and hardened under heating at higher than normal temperature. It is made by mixing refractory aggregate, powder, binder, admixture with water or other liquid with certain gradation. According to the material classification of high alumina, clay, magnesium, dolomite, zirconium and silicon carbide - carbon refractory ramming.Carbon ramming material mainly uses asphalt tar or resin as bonding agent, can form carbon bonding, carbon can prevent molten metal from wetting, improve corrosion resistance and thermal shock resistance.

 The Feature:
Ramming materials are used in high temperature kilns, requiring refractories to have good volume stability, densification and erosion resistance, so high temperature firing or capacitive raw materials are generally selected. The maximum particle size of the ramming material is related to the use of the site and the construction method, the general critical particle size is 8mm, and the maximum can be 10mm. The amount of granular material is 60%-70%, the powder is 30%-40%, the amount of cementing agent or water is 6%-10%, and the admixture is selected according to the thermal equipment and construction.
