Bricks should have the main properties
In modern metallurgy, gas blowing of molten steel begins in the smelting process and ends in the crystallizer. The breathable brick for ladle is an important functional element in this process.
The main properties of ladle breathable brick can be summarized as follows:
(1) High temperature erosion resistance
The refining ladle is very strict in terms of temperature and time, and the highest temperature is often more than 1750 ° C. During refining operation, the alkalinity of molten slag has a great influence on the life of refractory. The basicity of ladle refining slag varies in the range of about 0.6 ~ 0.4, so the refractory is eroded by acidic slag and alkaline slag with strong permeability at high temperature, and the damage rate is fast.
(2) High temperature wear resistance
Various ladle refining methods have adopted forced stirring, which is very serious to the high temperature wear of the brick.
(3) spalling resistance
Because it is intermittent operation, the temperature changes greatly, and it is easy to produce heat spalling and structural spalling, and the use conditions are very harsh. At present, there is a big gap between the performance of the ladle breathable brick seat and the performance it should have, such as in the aspects of high temperature erosion resistance and stripping resistance, especially the stripping resistance needs to be improved.
