In recent years, the application of silica brick in cement rotary kiln has been rapidly developed, especially the new dry process kiln and the large-scale kiln, the speed of the kiln, the thermal stress strength in the kiln has been greatly improved, and the material and physical and chemical properties of the refractory have been put forward new and higher requirements. Therefore, in addition to the use of magnesia-aluminum spinel and magnesia-iron spinel in the sintering belt of cement rotary kiln under the protection of the kiln skin, the effect of secondary firing belt, transition belt and cooling belt is significantly better than that of other products after the use of silica brick.

Product feature:
Compared with other refractory products, silica mullite brick has:
(1) The product has dense structure and good wear resistance. The main crystalline phase of silica brick is composed of high hardness mineral corundum (Mohs hardness 9.0 ~ 9.2), silicon carbide (Mohs hardness 9.0 ~ 9.5), mullite (Mohs hardness 7.0 ~ 7.5). The product structure causes high density, and the bulk density is generally 2.5 ~ 2.7g /cm3. The wear resistance of the refractory at room temperature depends on its strength and the density of the structure, and the material with high strength and density has better wear resistance. The inner lining of cement rotary kiln is chafed by the specifications and dimensions of refractory bricks for a long time, and wear is one of the main reasons for the damage of refractory lining. The density, strength and wear resistance of silica brick are better than those of high alumina brick and magnesia alumina spinel brick. Silica brick in cement rotary kiln secondary firing zone, transition zone and other parts of the use of good wear resistance can be said to play a very important role.
(2) High softening temperature under load, good high temperature performance. The load softening temperature of silica brick is above 1450 ºC, and the high is above 1 650 ºC. Different parts of the use, the brick surface temperature is different, the secondary firing zone, the front transition zone temperature of about 1400 ºC, higher than the firing zone brick surface temperature (because the firing with kiln skin protection, the brick surface temperature is 900 ~ 1 000 ºC). Therefore, the grade GM-1680 can be selected for the secondary firing zone and the front transition zone, and the grade GM-1650 can be selected for the lower temperature parts such as the transition zone and the cooling zone, and the grade GM-1550 can be selected for the decomposition furnace. The load softening temperature index of these bricks is also higher than that of the frequently used high alumina brick and phosphate high alumina brick (load softening temperature of 1 300 ~ 1 520 ºC).
