Silica Mo brick is based on Al2O3 higher than the special grade high bauxite and silicon carbide as the main raw materials, using the principle of refractory composite phase modification, adding appropriate halo additives, so that the product at a certain temperature on its surface to form a solid glaze film, greatly improving the product's corrosion resistance, wear resistance, heat shock resistance and other properties. At present, there are few research reports on how to further improve the high temperature strength and thermal shock resistance stability of silicon Mo brick. This work mainly discusses the addition of halo zirconium sand to silica brick raw material, and studies the influence of halo on the properties of silica brick, so as to meet the use requirements of rotary kiln lining materials.
The silicon in the silicon brick refers to silicon carbide, and the Mo refers to mullite. In fact, silmo brick is a refractory brick made of high bauxite and silicon carbide. Silica brick is essentially just a high-aluminum brick with silicon carbide added. Among them, some products may be mixed with refractory raw materials such as mullite, triite, and corundum.
Silicon carbide is synthesized by the reaction of carbon and silicon dioxide under ultra-high temperature and strong reduction conditions. The synthesis is characterized by the immobile carbon particles, SiO2 and the intermediate substance (SiO.Si) first become a gas phase, and then contact and react with the carbon. Silicon carbide has a Mohs hardness of 9.5. Adding silicon carbide to high alumina brick can improve the hardness of refractory brick. In this way, when the abrasive particle comes into contact with the firebrick, the depth of the abrasive particle is limited, reducing the possibility of the abrasive particle cutting certain substances from the surface of the firebrick when sliding on the surface of the firebrick, thus improving the wear resistance of the firebrick.
Silimo brick is a kind of high aluminum silicon carbide firebrick. If different special refractory raw materials are added to the silica brick, some properties of the silica brick can also be continued to improve, and the modified silica brick can also be divided into different subclasses. For example, in the silmo brick brick, with part of the andalusite instead of earth ore, you can make silmo red brick. In addition to having good high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, silica red brick also has better heat resistance and seismic resistance than silica brick.
