Application:
Commonly used fibers are ordinary steel fiber, heat-resistant (stainless) steel fiber, carbon fiber, alumina fiber, aluminum silicate fiber and organic fiber. From the point of view of strengthening and fire protection effect, heat-resistant steel fiber and alumina fiber are now commonly used to make high-strength refractory materials. The fire protection effect of ordinary steel fiber is poor, and the price of carbon fiber is higher, so it is used less. Organic fibers are often used as explosion-proof agents for dense high-strength refractory castables, and have certain applications.
