Low cement castable refers to castable with low cement content. The cement content of refractory cement castable is generally 15% to 20%, and the cement content of low cement castable is about 5%, and some even reduce to 1% to 2%. The purpose of reducing the amount of cement is to improve the fire resistance of castable.
It relies on the addition of several special raw materials to obtain good performance: first, pure calcium aluminate cement, due to the high content of effective minerals CaO·Al2O3, the required strength can be obtained with less incorporation. The second silica fume is a glass microbead with a SiO2 content between 93% and 98% and an average particle size of about 0.5μm. After the addition of silica fume, the castable has good fluidity, low water requirement and low sintering temperature, which can improve the performance after heat treatment. Third, alumina powder, it is easier to participate in the reaction, improve the fire resistance of the material. Fourth, water reducer, it can be adsorbed on the surface of the powder, and then produce electrostatic repulsion to disperse the powder, so as to further play the role of micro-powder.

(2) Wrapping and surface treatment of ceramic fiber felt. The pre-processed block ceramic fiber felt is wrapped on the corresponding water-cooled beam (column), and the ceramic fiber felt is tightly wrapped on the water-cooled beam (column) with z2 galvanized iron wire in a spiral shape, and then the hardener is sprayed on the surface of the ceramic fiber felt, and the felt surface is dried and hardened to form a layer of hard shell before pouring construction can be carried out.
(3) Template installation. In order to ensure the appearance of the lining wall and the fumigation use of the formwork after pouring, 4 mm thick steel plate was used to make the shaped steel formwork. The steel formwork is installed from bottom to top, and the lower end of the formwork installed after it is installed should be stuck to the poured lining wall.
(4) Mixing of low cement castable. Must use a forced mixer mixing, the use of clean water, the water temperature should be 10 ~ 25ºC; Proportioning and adding water in strict accordance with the mix ratio given in the material instruction manual; In order to overcome the uneven particle size distribution of dry aggregates during transportation; It should be dry mixed for 1 min and then stirred with water for 4 to 5 min.
(5) Pouring. The mixed castable is quickly transported to the pouring site, and the castable is poured into the mold with a small shovel and a special lower hopper. When pouring the beam, the material should be cut from one side of the form to prevent gaps in the lower part of the beam. When cutting the material, it is necessary to prevent the wrapped ceramic fiber felt from breaking and falling off, start the vibrator after the material is filled, the material surface sinks in the vibration, and the material is added in time. When the castable surface no longer sinks or the surface grout no bubbles escape, the vibration can stop. The vibration time is generally 2 min.
After the vibration of the castable, the surface of the column is not trimmed. After the vibration of the beam castable, it is scraped and formed with an iron trope before the initial solidification, so that the section of the castable lining wall on the upper part of the beam can meet the design requirements. (6) Mold removal and repair, when the temperature in the furnace is 10 ~ 25ºC, the mold can be removed for 8 hours after pouring, and the castable can be naturally preserved after the mold removal. The quality of the casting should be checked in time, and the general defects should not be treated, but the important parts and large problems should be repaired to meet the production process requirements.
