The Description:
The mineral composition of clay bricks is mainly kaolinite (Al2O3·2SiO2·2H2O) and 6% to 7% of impurities (potassium, sodium, calcium, titanium, iron oxides). The firing process of clay brick is mainly the process of continuous water loss decomposition of kaolinite to produce mullite (3Al2O3·2SiO2) crystallization. SiO2 and Al2O3 in the clay brick form a eutectic low melting point silicate with impurities during the firing process, surrounding the mullite crystal.
Clay bricks belong to weakly acidic refractory products, which can resist the erosion of acid slag and acid gas, and the resistance to alkaline substances is slightly poor. Clay brick has good thermal performance and is resistant to acute heat and cold

Product feature:
The refractoriness of clay bricks is similar to that of silicon bricks, up to 1690~1730 ° C, but the load softening temperature is more than 200 ° C lower than that of silicon bricks. Because in addition to containing high refractories of mullite crystals, clay bricks also contain nearly half of the low melting point amorphous glass phase.
In the temperature range of 0~1000ºC, the volume of clay brick expands evenly with the increase of temperature, and the linear expansion curve is approximately a straight line, and the linear expansion rate is 0.6%~0.7%, only about half of the silicon brick. When the temperature reaches 1200ºC and then continues to warm up, its volume will start to shrink from the maximum expansion. The residual shrinkage of clay bricks leads to the cracking of masonry joints, which is a major shortcoming of clay bricks. When the temperature exceeds 1200 ° C, the low melting point in the clay brick gradually melts, and the particles are very tight together due to the surface tension, resulting in volume contraction.
