The Description:
Magnesium bricks are divided into sintered magnesia bricks and chemically combined magnesia bricks according to their different production processes. Sintered magnesia brick is made of dead burned magnesia with appropriate particle size ratio, adding brine (MgCl2 aqueous solution) and sulfite pulp waste liquid as a binder, pressurized molding, and fired at a high temperature of 1550~1650ºC. The chemically bonded magnesia brick does not go through the firing process, after the sintered magnesia is matched according to the size ratio, the appropriate amount of mineralizing agent and bonding agent is added, pressing molding, and the finished product is dried. The strength of chemically bonded magnesite bricks is lower and the performance is not as good as that of sintered magnesite bricks, but the price is cheap, less than half of the price of sintered magnesite bricks. It is used in parts where performance requirements are not too high, such as heating furnaces and soaking furnaces.
Magnesium brick is an alkaline refractory material, has a strong resistance to alkaline slag, but can not resist the erosion of acidic slag, at 1600ºC high temperature, and silicon brick, clay brick and even high aluminum brick contact can react. The refractoriness of magnesium brick is above 2000 ° C, but its load softening point is only 1500~1550 ° C. Moreover, the temperature interval that begins to soften to 40% deformation is very small, and the thermal stability of magnesium bricks is also poor at only 30~50ºC, which is an important reason for the damage of magnesium bricks.
In the heating furnace and soaking furnace, magnesium brick is mainly used to lay the surface layer of the bottom of the soaking furnace and the lower part of the soaking furnace wall, which can resist the erosion of oxide iron sheet.
