Coke oven is the main equipment for coke production, and the refractory materials used in masonry coke oven are mainly silicon bricks, accounting for about 70% of the total refractory materials. At present, silicon brick is the most suitable refractory material for coke oven charring chamber and furnace wall. Silica brick for coke oven is a kind of acid refractory brick with squame-quartz as the main crystalline phase, which is used to lay the regenerator wall, ramp, combustion chamber, carbonization chamber and furnace top of coke oven. Modern coke oven is a large-scale thermal equipment built by tens of thousands of tons and nearly a thousand kinds of brick refractory brick materials, of which the amount of silica brick accounts for 60%-70%. The products are widely used in 4 meters coke oven, 5 meters coke oven, 6 meters coke oven and 7 meters coke oven.

Silicon bricks for coke ovens shall have the following characteristics:
(1) The load softening temperature, coke oven silicon brick to withstand the dynamic load of coal truck on the top of the furnace at high temperature, and require long-term use without deformation, so the coke oven silicon brick load softening temperature of 0.2MPa is high;
(2) thermal conductivity, coke is made of coking coal in the carbonization chamber by conduction heating of the combustion chamber wall, so the masonry of the combustion chamber wall should have a high thermal conductivity;
(3) Thermal stability, because the coke oven to periodically load coal, coke out, causing the temperature of the silicon brick on both sides of the combustion chamber wall drastic changes, so the coke oven silicon brick is required to have good thermal shock resistance, excellent thermal stability, hot repair products will not burst, can be repaired directly under the high temperature of the continuous furnace;
(4) The thermal expansion rate, the smaller the thermal expansion rate is close to zero, the expansion joint can be reserved when repairing, and the tightness of the masonry body can be increased;
(5) Impurity content, the lower the impurity rate for glass kiln silicon bricks, the smaller the product pollution, for the above points, the company has developed and produced zero expansion silicon bricks, used in glass furnace, coke oven, hot blast furnace and other high temperature thermal equipment, especially the high temperature thermal equipment can be arbitrarily repaired in the case of non-ceasefire.
