The Description:
According to the working environment of cupola, firebrick must be selected to meet the working temperature conditions, wear resistance, thermal shock resistance, resistance to molten iron and slag erosion, containing Fe203 lower quality clay brick masonry, generally choose N-l, N-2a, N-3a.
The bridge is used to connect the cupola furnace body and the front furnace. It is composed of vault, wall and bottom, and is generally built of clay brick. In order to improve the service life of the lower part and the bottom of the wall, dense high-aluminum brick can be used. The front furnace is composed of a bottom, a wall and a top. The top of the furnace is vaulted or hung flat. The front furnace body is generally made of clay brick and high aluminum brick, and the bottom of the furnace is rammed with ramming material, which is the same as the bottom of the cupola furnace.
The service life of the iron outlet and slag outlet of the bridge and the front furnace is low because of the erosion of high temperature hot metal and the erosion of the slag. Need to be repaired, large cupola using hot air or oxygen-rich blast, high temperature, large production capacity, the part due to harsh working conditions and damage faster, with clay brick or high aluminum brick masonry is difficult to maintain production. Corundum brick should be used to make the integrity good, high strength, strong erosion resistance, so the service life is significantly improved, generally up to about one year.
The firebricks used in other parts of the cupola include the firebricks used in the chimney and spark catcher. The chimney is directly connected with the body of the cupola. The shell is made of steel plate, the inner lining is made of ordinary clay brick, and the ordinary refractory castable can also be used. The chimney is equipped with a furnace heat exchanger, which can preheat the air to 300? 500 ºC; The spark trap is used to trap the hot coke and dust particles brought out of the smoke. The reflector (cover) above the chimney mouth can be welded with steel plate or cast iron, and its lining is coated or sprayed with refractory paste.
