The Description:
Zirconia-corundum refractory brick refers to refractory products with 33%~45% ZrO2 content using industrial aluminum oxide powder and selected zircon sand as raw materials. Zirconium corundum brick is mainly used in glass industry tank kiln. Zirconium corundum brick, also known as fused brick English abbreviation is AZS, is according to the three chemical components of Al2O3-Zro2-sio2 ternary phase diagram, according to the order of its content, Al2O3 takes A, ZrO2 takes Z, SiO2 takes S, the national standard uses this abbreviation, such as No. 33 fused zirconium corundum brick, abbreviated as AZS-33 #, No. 36 fused cast zirconium corundum brick, abbreviated AZS-36 #, No. 41 fused cast zirconium corundum brick, abbreviated AZS-41 #

The main varieties are:

(1) fused cast zirconium corundum brick. Also known as AZS fused cast brick. It is made of industrial alumina and selected zircon, adding a small amount of Na2CO3. When producing zirconium corundum bricks with high ZrO2 content, part of ZrO2 should be added.

(2) sintered zirconium corundum brick. The main raw materials are: industrial alumina is calcined to α-Al2O3 at 1450~1550ºC, and then ground to 2μm particles in the vibration mill account for about 50%; Zirconia with 8~11%(mol)MgO as stabilizer (CaO or Y2O3 or composite stabilizer can also be added) after 1150ºC to a partially stable ZrO2 fine grinding; Zirconium corundum clinker fine powder. The above three raw materials are proportioned according to a certain ratio, mixed, high-pressure forming, drying, and fired at 1700~1750ºC
The Feature:

Sintered zirconium corundum brick has strong resistance to glass erosion. In addition, due to the existence of partially stable quadrangular ZrO2, there is a small porosity of micro-cracks formed in the brick, and the thermal shock resistance is stronger than that of AZS fused cast brick.
