The main varieties are:
(1) fused cast zirconium corundum brick. Also known as AZS fused cast brick. It is made of industrial alumina and selected zircon, adding a small amount of Na2CO3. When producing zirconium corundum bricks with high ZrO2 content, part of ZrO2 should be added.
(2) sintered zirconium corundum brick. The main raw materials are: industrial alumina is calcined to α-Al2O3 at 1450~1550ºC, and then ground to 2μm particles in the vibration mill account for about 50%; Zirconia with 8~11%(mol)MgO as stabilizer (CaO or Y2O3 or composite stabilizer can also be added) after 1150ºC to a partially stable ZrO2 fine grinding; Zirconium corundum clinker fine powder. The above three raw materials are proportioned according to a certain ratio, mixed, high-pressure forming, drying, and fired at 1700~1750ºC
