The Description:
Fireclay insulating brick refers to insulating refractory products with 30%~48% Al2O3 content made from fireclay as the main raw material. By using fireclay, bleach bead, fireclay clinker as raw material, adding binder and sawdust, the bulk density of 0.3~1.5g/cm3 products can be prepared through batching, mixing, molding, drying and firing, and the production capacity accounts for more than half of the total output of heat-insulating firebrick.
In 1899, the use of diatomaceous earth as raw material for the manufacture of thermal insulation bricks patent, in the production of thermal insulation bricks on diatoms, when necessary to add a lower temperature sintered clay as a bond. After 1920, due to the development of heavy fuel consumption industries such as metallurgy, glass, coking, and ceramics, adhesive heat-insulating refractory bricks used at higher temperatures appeared. In the 1940s, China used the burnt-out additive method to produce clay heat-insulating refractory bricks with high volume density. In the 1950s, it was possible to produce products with low volume density. In the 1960s, with the production process of the foam method, a series of products of 0.4~2.5g/cm3 were gradually formed. In the 1970s, fly ash bleaching beads were added to the traditional formula. Due to abundant resources and simple process, the output was greatly increased. By 1992, the output of heat-insulating refractory bricks accounted for about 1.5% of the total output of fire-lining materials.
