The Description:
Corundum bricks are refractory products with alumina content greater than 90% and corundum as the main crystalline phase. High compressive strength at room temperature (up to 340MPa). High load softening initial temperature (greater than 1700ºC). Good chemical stability, strong resistance to acidic or alkaline slag, metal and liquid glass. The thermal shock stability is related to its structure. The corrosion resistance of dense products is good, but the thermal shock stability is poor.

Product feature:
1. corundum brick fire resistance
From the Al2O3-Cr2O3 binary phase diagram, it can be seen that Al2O3 and Cr2O3 can form continuous solid solutions, and no eutectic products are produced. Therefore, the addition of Cr2O3 to high-purity corundum materials, no matter how much is added, will not only reduce the fire resistance of the material, but improve the fire resistance of the material. The refractoriness (>1790 ºC) and load softening temperature (>1700 ºC) of chrome-corundum bricks are better than those of high-purity corundum products.
2. Strength of corundum brick
The normal temperature compressive strength of high purity corundum brick is generally 70 ~ 100MPa, and the normal temperature compressive strength of high performance chrome corundum brick is generally >150MPa, which is significantly higher than that of corundum brick. This is because the product in the firing process, between the particles and particles, between the particles and fine powder, fine powder and fine powder are formed Al2O3-Cr2O3 solid solution, the solid solution is like a bridge to the particles, fine powder connected together, so that the strength of the material is greatly improved.
3. Thermal shock stability
According to reports, adding Cr2O3 to corundum, when the content of Cr2O3 is 10% ~ 66%, the thermal shock stability of the material decreases with the increase of the content of Cr2O3, that is, the thermal shock stability of the chromium corundum brick with low content of Cr2O3 is better than that of the chromium corundum brick with high content of Cr2O3. The high performance chrome-corundum brick used in our factory has a Cr2O3 content between 12% and 20%, and its thermal shock stability is higher than that of corundum brick. In particular, the AKZ chrome-corundum brick produced by adding a small amount of phase change additive has better thermal shock stability.
