The Description:
Silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide brick (silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide brick) refers to the use of SiC and Si as raw materials, by nitriding fired refractory products. The product, which first appeared in the late 1960s, is characterized by Si3N4 as a binder. Si3N4 exists between SiC grains in acicular or fibrous crystals and is an important new refractory material. Generally containing silicon carbide 70% ~ 75%, silicon nitride 18% ~ 25%. With good corrosion resistance, 1400ºC bending strength of 50 ~ 55MPa, apparent porosity of 15%. Thermal expansion coefficient (4.5 ~ 5.0)×10-2ºC-1. It was prepared by high temperature sintering method. Mainly used in blast furnace tuyere, aluminum electrolytic cell lining and so on.

Application:
It is mainly used as the inner lining of the lower part of the blast furnace, and its life is more than double that of the traditional refractory material. In addition, it can be used as the lining of aluminum reduction electrolytic cell, ceramic kiln, which has the advantages of energy saving, long life, no pollution to the environment, and can also be used as the water cooling pipe sleeve brick of blast furnace tuyere.
