High Alumina Fireclay Refractory Brick for Electric Furnace
The Description:
Electric furnace top high aluminum brick is made of bauxite clinker and a small amount of clay, Al2O3 content of more than 65%, for electric furnace top refractory products.
In order to smelt some special steel, whether it is basic or acidic electric furnace, the furnace top mainly uses silicon bricks. The silicon brick has high softening temperature under load and low mass, which can support the furnace roof without collapsing and be used for a long time at the smelting temperature
The cover material of basic electric arc furnace is generally made of first and second high aluminum bricks, and there are also aluminum-magnesium bricks. The refractoriness, load softening temperature and FeO slag resistance of aluminum-magnesia brick are higher than those of high aluminum-magnesia brick, but the thermal conductivity and thermal expansion coefficient are large, which cause serious deformation of the furnace cover. At present, aluminum-magnesium bricks are mainly used in the vulnerable parts of the furnace cover (electrical holes, smoke holes, central parts), and the remaining parts are still composed of high aluminum bricks.
