Product function:
Chrome magnesia brick is a kind of composite alkaline firebrick with chrome ore and sintered magnesia as raw materials, containing 18% ~ 30% chromium oxide and 25% ~ 55% magnesium oxide according to the appropriate proportion. Generally, the amount of chromium ore added is less than 50% called magnesia-chromium brick, and that is greater than or equal to 50% is called chrome-magnesium brick. In addition to the sintered chrome-magnesia bricks fired under a weak oxidizing atmosphere, the products can also be made into unfired bricks, fused cast bricks, electromelting recombined chrome-magnesia bricks and loose materials. Can be used in converter, induction furnace, non-ferrous metal smelting furnace lining, electric arc furnace, open furnace, soaking furnace side wall, etc. When the ratio of chrome ore and sintered magnesia is 50%, the product has the greatest thermal shock resistance, sometimes called thermal shock stability chrome-magnesia brick, mainly used as alkaline open furnace top brick.
