Corundum-mullite brick (Corundum-Mullite brig) refers to a high alumina refractory product composed of corundum and mullite main crystal phases. Corundum - mullite brick refers to high purity or pure raw materials made of refractory products. The presence of low melting point oxide impurities will reduce its high temperature performance. The use of industrial alumina powder and pure clay, bauxite or silica as raw materials to synthesize pure mullite raw materials, especially the alkali metal oxide content should be as low as possible. The products made with mullite grain as aggregate have good thermal shock resistance, but the corrosion resistance is slightly poor, and the products made with corundum sand as aggregate have good corrosion resistance, but the thermal shock resistance is slightly poor.

Product feature:
It has good high temperature strength, high temperature creep resistance, thermal shock resistance and erosion resistance. The physical and chemical properties of a typical corundum - mullite brick are: Al2O3>85%, Fe2O3 0.45%, apparent porosity 19%, normal temperature compressive strength greater than 55MPa load softening temperature greater than 1700ºC, heating line change (1600ºC, 3h)-0.1%, thermal shock resistance (1100ºC water cooling) more than 30 times.
