The Description:
Due to the mechanical impact and wear of the charge during loading, the upper working layer of the cupola furnace body is generally not laid with ordinary refractory bricks, but is laid with fanned hollow iron bricks, and the working layer under the furnace body is filled with quartz sand, especially in the part of the furnace body. Due to the impact and wear of high-strength clay bricks and other materials, ordinary refractory bricks are generally not laid. Use high alumina bricks such as quartz bricks or magnesium bricks. The insulation layer in the furnace is generally made of clay heat-insulating brick or bleached bead brick. The working layer under the cupola body and the tuyere are a weak link of the furnace body, which need to be repaired several times in a furnace. Too much flux, too much air or oxygen-rich blast, frequent intermittent operation, etc., will directly affect the service life of the furnace lining.
According to the working environment of the cupola, the selected refractory must meet the working temperature conditions, wear resistance, thermal shock resistance, resistance to molten iron and slag erosion, low quality Al2O3 clay brick masonry, generally choose N-1,N-2a,N-3a cupola is one of the main thermal equipment of the casting workshop. In order to obtain high quality molten iron, it is used to melt iron blocks and superheat the molten iron. The working temperature of cupola: in the range of 1400-1500ºC, the temperature of the bottom and the furnace cylinder section is 1400-1600ºC, the pre-heat zone is 800-1200ºC, and the feed mouth is 300-500ºC
